This book contains the three texts attributed to Enoch: 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch, and 3 Enoch.
- 1 Enoch (Ethiopic Book of Enoch) is the most well-known and was considered sacred by early followers of Christ. Although excluded from the Western canon, it was rediscovered in 1773 and translated into English and German in the 19th century. It is believed to have been written between the 3rd century BCE and 1st century CE. Fragments of 1 Enoch found in Qumran are over 2,000 years old.
- 2 Enoch (Slavonic Enoch) is found in Old Slavonic manuscripts and was once part of the Old Slavonic Bible. Dated to the 1st century CE, the earliest manuscripts are from the 14th century.
- 3 Enoch (Hebrew Enoch) is a Rabbinic text written in Hebrew, usually dated to the 5th century CE. Some scholars believe it was written by Rabbi Ishmael, who was familiar with both 1 Enoch and 2 Enoch.
